-Special days in March and April...What are they? Who celebrates them? What makes them special? History behind each day
ex:

- Deaf History Month (March 13-April 15)
- National Craft Month.
- Optimism Month.
- Honor Society Awareness Month.
- National Foreign Language Month.
Pick 2 of the following clubs, and report on their happenings: (your angle should be about the current goals/ happenings of each club. Please do not begin with an intro that tells what the club is. It is too late in the year for that. You may ask the advisor what their club is about, but it won't be your lead)

Deadlines:
Tuesday, 2/1- Students will brainstorm ideas for their next articles and begin planning sheets
Thursday, 2/3 - Students will create interview questions and turn in their planning sheets
ALL PLANNING SHEETS WILL BE TURNED IN TO GOOGLE CLASSROOM
must interview 3-5 people per topic
Friday, 2/4-Tuesday, 2/8- Students will continue to interview and organize interview answers
Tuesday, 2/8-completed interviews due by 2:40- If they are not turned in, points will be deducted
ALL QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS WILL BE TURNED IN TO Google Classroom

ONCE YOUR PLANNING SHEETS AND INTERVIEWS ARE COMPLETED:
**PLEASE REMEMBER, YOU CAN BEGIN WRITING YOUR ARTICLE AT ANY TIME. YOU DON'T HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL YOUR INTERVIEWS ARE CONDUCTED.
**All leads and second paragraphs must be checked by Mrs. Christian
1. All students should be working on their rough drafts.
2. If you need to add an extra interview, today is the day to complete all interviews
3. rough draft is due on Wednesday. Please make sure your article follows the inverted pyramid format/ rules for writing.
4. Peer editing day: Monday, 2/1
A. Read article to another student
B. Someone will read to you
C. Three people will peer edit your article
D. Proof through Grammarly
Final Draft- Due Tuesday 2/2
