Article Evaluation

In groups of 2-3, we are going to read today's newspaper.  It is in your tvstudio folder

1. Each person in the group must find and record the following information:
A. An article with a strong lead and transitions.
B. Doe the article follow the inverted pyramid?
C. How does the reporter handle details?

-Write the title, section, page.
-Write the key points to the lead and tell why it is strong
-Read through the article and find at least three transitions.  Record them and explain why they work.
-Discuss: Does this article follow the inverted pyramid?  Explain why or why not.  Cite examples from the story. 

2. Get together as a group.  Evaluate all of your articles and select the best one.  Your group will be presenting it to the class.
