Power Point Presentation
2/6-2/24
(Due to PSSA Testing, and Library closings, the project has been extended. Please check the dates below)
**On Tuesday, 2/10, PERIOD 7 WILL REPORT TO THE LIBRARY WITH MISS HOFFMAN TO LEARN ABOUT POWER LIBRARY.
**IT IS EXPECTED THAT STUDENTS WRITE/ RECORD ANY SITES THAT MISS HOFFMAN INDICATES DURING HER DISCUSSION
***PLEASE NOTE DATE CHANGES BELOW:
Students will begin to research careers in journalism for their Power Point presentation
1. Students will research their projects
2. Students will begin to create interview questions (Your interviews will be included in your presentation)
Careers in journalism Power Point:
-May only use 2 note cards
-May not read from the cards or slides
Dates to Remember:
There will be a research check (50 points on Thursday, 2/12)
All research notebooks will be collected on Tuesday, 2/17) 100 points
-Power Points must be completed on 2/20
-Presentations will begin on - 2/23
-Students must be prepared when giving their presentation
-Students will incorporate relevant pictures and create organized slides
-Students must talk for 3-5 minutes. (Students who do not meet these requirements will receive a significant deduction)
-You must take notes from 6 different reference materials
-You must Cite/ Use 3 within your presentation/ Power Point
-Students will create a 10 slide presentation (This does not include your title page, your Works Cited page, and Bibliography page at the end of the presentation)
-Presentations must be creative.
*The slides should be creative and contain a theme
-A research notebook, Works Cited Page, and Bibliography Page will be turned in prior to each presentation.
Restrictions:
-You may not read from note cards or your slides during your presentation
-Your slides must be creative.......More than a photo or a group of words
-You may use 2 small note cards during your presentation; however, you may not read from the cards.
