1. Select 3-5 of your questions that contain remarkable stats.....interesting for student readers.
2. Write the full question
3. Indicate the corresponding stats.  Make a chart if you can
4. Turn your work into www.turnitin.com




Goal: Students will complete their survey articles

Notes: Be sure to introduce your survey
Point out at least 3 remarkable facts
Include quotes from interviews
Includes comments from open-ended survey questions

Tuesday: Rough Draft
Wednesday: Read aloud day

Goal: Students will conduct
 And organize a survey of 100 people or collect a Fair Sample


Monday, 3/4: Students will watch a PowerPoint on conducting surveys
Tuesday, 3/5:  Begin to read the section on surveys in Journalism Today.

Students will gather, organize and analyze data collected
Each group will be assigned a topic and present it to the class
Students will create survey questions that will enhance their angle

Wednesday, 3/6-3/7:  Continue the survey process
1. Students will begin their outlines and rough drafts
2. Students will create and conduct their surveys (200 total)
3. Students will utilize statistical information in their articles

Wednesday, 3/6-Friday, 3/8- Students will complete surveys, interviews, research and rough drafts

Monday, 3/11- Survey check: You must have at least 100 surveys completed

Tuesday, 3/12-All surveys are due (100 pts) ; Students will work on their rough drafts
Thursday , 3/14-  Students will complete and turn in their rough drafts

**There will be checks for points throughout the week
