INTERVIEW ACTIVITY

Today we will complete Journalists Toolbox Quiz 1 (MAKE SURE IT IS QUIZ 1 NOT 1-5)

Objective: To introduce students to the field of news writing

Goal: To explore natural instincts during an interview

1. Students will finish interviewing their partner
2. Students will take notes during the interview
3. Students will return to their seats with their completed interviews
4. A quiz will be passed out to each student
-The students must provide three answers for each question.
-One will be a true answer; the other two will be made up.

EX. What is your first name?
A. Mary B. Theresa C. Stephanie (The correct answer is B. Theresa)

5. Once the answers are filled in, students will give the quiz to their partners

We will then see how well our original interviews worked.

Students will begin by taking a walk back into history to learn about the foundation of journalism.
