Goal: Students will work in their groups and prepare a presentation for Wednesday.
Students should outline their presentations and make sure that each group member is ready to speak on Wednesday.

Surveys, numbers, stats and more.....oh my
Surveys:
Goal: Students will review key elements to making surveys and collecting data
Students will learn to incorporate the data into their articles.
**ALL SURVEYS MUST BE APPROVED BY MRS. CHRISTIAN AND THE OFFICE.
**MRS. CHRISTIAN WILL SUBMIT ALL SURVEY QUESTIONS ON MONDAY, 2/7
Thursday, 2/3: Begin the survey process
1. Students will create 5 survey ideas (EACH)
2. Students will evaluate ideas
3. Students will select a group (2-3 students per group)
1. Students will begin their surveys, outlines and rough drafts
2. Students will create and conduct their surveys (200 total)
3. Students will utilize statistical information in their articles
Thursday, 2/3 - Tuesday, 2/15- Students will complete surveys, interviews, research and rough drafts
MONDAY, 2/14 (HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!)- Survey check: You must have at least 100 surveys completed
Thursday, 2/17: All surveys are due --THIS MEANS ALL RESULTS ARE TALLIED (100 pts) ; Students will work on their rough drafts
Tuesday, 2/22 - rough drafts
Thrusday, 2/24 - final drafts are due
**There will be checks for points throughout the week

1.5.11A Write with a sharp, distinct focus
